The lawless

Every day, she paces up and down the platform, crossing the red line - the forbidden. Staring at the tracks, till the train comes, and she stands frozen, like a deer caught in the headlights.
Every day, I say a little prayer, begging her not to jump.

Fighting for meaning, that's us.

aah. this is why i realized why they have those suicide helpline ads on the metro TVs featuring nasiruddin shah. never struck me why those ads are only aired there. 2+2.

Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose, no?

And then there are some 'bout whom 'tis slandered that they are fighting to be mean.

If what is beyond is nothingness,
then this is no different.
If stepping over were to return home,
it would be to start over,
all over again.
The road ahead gets thinner and ends,
one day.
Keep walking,it takes too much to step out and run.

so insightful.

get rid of your beard and then we'll talk.
ok, no, sorry. :-p hmm, janis, yes. hehe, I really don't know wot to say. there's plenty of different kinds of freedom, I guess. there's the freedom that a protest singer/songwriter could be talking about ... political freedom ... freedom of will and choice and all those things ... and then there's that other kind of freedom. uhm .. it's ... it can be liberating to regain something you thought you'd lost forever. uh. i think.

you are mean.

thank you. that was beautiful.
[this wasn't a cry for help, but thank you all the same :-D I miss your poetry sometimes]
